Enrolling Multiple MFA Profiles / Changing MFA Profiles
Problem:
Salem Community College requires all accounts to utilize Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), to access the Online Services Portal. Users sometimes lose access to emails, change phone numbers, or get new phones. This can prevent a user from having access to their One Time Passcodes.
Solution:
Students have the ability to register in multiple MFA profiles, as well as edit their current profile(s). This can be accomplished immediately after initial registration. Users must be able to sign into the Online Services Portal in order to setup multiple MFA profiles.
Note that starting point will be different for each user depending upon their chosen enrollment.
Accessing Profile:
To access your profile, sign into the Online Services Portal. In the upper right hand corner, click on your username, and a new dropdown menu will appear. Select "Edit Profile" to enter Account Management. (See picture below)

Register Email Address:
If you have already registered an email address, you will see the "Change my email" option. If you have not, you wil lsee the "Add new email" option.
Select the link, enter in your email address, and then enter in the code it sends to your email.

Register Phone:
If you have already registered a Phone Number, you will see your phone number and an option to remove it. If you have not registered a Phone Number, you will only see "Add New Phone". Remove the old registered phone if needed, and then select "Add New Phone". You will then enter in the new phone number, and will be texted a code to confirm enrollment.

Register Mobile Authenticator:
If you have already registered for Mobile Authenticator, you will see the Entry Description, and only have an option to "Disable mobile authenticator". You must do this to change to a new code. Once removed, you will see "Enable mobile authenticator.
If you have not enrolled in Mobile Authenticator, you will see "Enable mobile authenticator".
You will then be asked for your Phone Type, and will be given the description that will appear in your Authentication App. Note that the description will be unique to your student ID.

Select "Continue". It will generate a QR Code that you will need to scan with Google Authenticator (DO NOT use your phone's camera to scan the QR Code. It will not be valid).
In Google Authenticator, select the rainbow "+" sign in the bottom right hand corner, and select "Scan a QR Code". Give it permissions to access your camera, if not already added. Then hold your device up to the QR Code. Once it generates codes, enter it in and select "Continue" to confirm your enrollment.
